Cainark, we believe there’s no such thing as a bad dog and our mission is to help dog owners everywhere create engagement, balance and a more confident relationship with their furry companions.

Founded in 2023, Cainark Dog Training was born out of a passion for helping both dogs and their owners thrive. As the sister company to the award-winning Country Pooch Dog Daycare Centre, we’ve built a reputation for providing expert training techniques that are as effective as they are approachable.

Whether you’re a first time puppy owner or working through challenges with your older dog, we provide personalised training to suit every stage of your dog’s journey. Steve Griffiths

Steve is the head behaviourist and co-founder of Cainark Dog Training, known for his expert handling of extreme reactivity and complex behavioural challenges. With a calm, confident approach and a deep understanding of canine psychology, Steve has helped countless dogs and their owners overcome serious behavioural hurdles and build stronger, more trusting relationships.

In addition to leading a wide range of group training classes, Steve is a respected figure in the dog training community and is also a liaison with Hampshire County Council. He has trained with The National Dog Training Academy, the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), and The Dog Training College, and remains committed to ongoing professional development.

Steve has also shared his knowledge as a guest speaker at Dogstival and will be a featured speaker at London Pet Show Live 2025, where he continues to advocate for building relationships between dogs and their owners by developing confidence, balance and engagement.

Whether you're dealing with reactivity, aggression, or simply want a better-behaved companion, Steve offers the expertise, dedication, and compassion to help you, and your dog succeed.

Connie

Connie’s journey into the world of dog training began during lockdown, driven by a lifelong love for dogs and a desire to turn that passion into a career. Since then, she has trained with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and The Dog Training College, developing a strong foundation in positive, reward-based methods.

Having worked extensively with dogs in Country Pooch daycare setting, Connie has gained hands on experience with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. Her keen understanding of canine body language allows her to read and respond to dogs with confidence, patience, and care.

In addition to her training expertise, Connie holds a diploma in Canine Nutrition and offers valuable advice on feeding, well-being, and overall health ensuring dogs not only behave well, but feel their best too.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to each dog she works with, Connie brings both compassion and competence to every training session.

Hannah

Hannah is the co-founder of Cainark Dog Training and the creator of Cainark’s successful Puppy Training courses, where she specialises in early-stage obedience and behaviour development using kind, science-based methods. Her calm, structured approach and deep understanding of canine behaviour help owners raise confident, balanced and engaged dogs from the very start.

Hannah has completed a range of respected canine qualifications, including certifications in canine body language and reactivity from The Dog Training College. She is also a graduate of the prestigious Jo-Rosie Haffenden mentorship program and has trained alongside top industry professionals including Kamal Fernandez.

Actively involved in the wider dog training community, Hannah is a member of the Winchester City Dog Training Club and regularly competes in obedience competitions bringing real-world experience and insight into every class she leads.
Passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to, Hannah works closely with owners to help their dogs thrive in every stage of life.

Jack

Jack is a lifelong dog enthusiast, with a particular passion for large guarding breeds. He’s trained his own Cane Corso, Gus, to a high standard of obedience, using positive and structured methods to foster a strong, trusting bond.

Jack’s professional journey began by shadowing the team at Cainark during puppy courses and workshops, where he expanded his knowledge and experience. Through this hands on training, he developed a deep understanding of canine behaviour and group class dynamics. He has since completed the Cainark internal Train a Trainer program, and now leads his own classes with confidence and care.

Known for his calm approach and expertise in working with large, powerful breeds, Jack continues to grow his skills while helping owners create lasting, positive changes with their dogs.
